Gattuso wants to sign AC Milan midfielder
Gennaro Gattuso is the new coach of Valencia. The former Rossoneri manager is looking at his old club for new singings.
Valencia recently announced the appointment of Gennaro Gattuso as their new coach. The former Rossoneri midfielder returns to the bench after his short lived adventure at Fiorentina. The Italian famously quit the job days after being hired because of different visions on the mercato with president Rocco Commisso.
Gattuso has signed a two-year deal with Valencia and has immediately started to plan the upcoming shopping campaign. The Italian coach is not happy with his midfield and has asked for new singings. Rino has turned his attention to his former player Tiemoue Bakayoko.
The two worked together at Milan. A collaboration that ended in a clamorous fight during a match between the Rossoneri and Bologna. Nevertheless, the two quickly reconciliated and worked again at Napoli. Now, Gennaro Gattuso wants to bring Bakayoko with him at Valencia thus solving a problem for the Rossoneri.
AC Milan signed Bakayoko on a two-year loan from Chelsea with the obligation to buy if certain conditions are met. The 27-year-old defensive midfielder had a positive first spell at San Siro but his return has been a total disappointment. AC Milan have no intention to keep the French midfielder and have contacted Chelsea to cut short his loan.
Bakayoko featured rarely for Stefano Pioli this season collecting a total of 607 minutes on the pitch. With Pobega, Adli and Renato Sanches set to arrive, Bakayoko’s space would be restricted even further. A new loan at Venelcia could be the perfect solution for Milan, Chelsea and the French midfielder.
